General Information
Following the need in the past to call
the Mountain Rescue, I’ve been made aware of a new way of contacting
the emergency services by a “TEXT” message rather than a normal
voice call.
A TEXT message
is much more likely to get through than a normal voice 999 call in
poor signal areas.
You need to
register your phone details beforehand to use this service. If you
are interested, details of how to do this can be found in the
attached document.

COACH PICKUPS
OUTSIDE SHERBURN
To give the Club secretary sufficient time to order the right
sized coach, members who intend to be picked up other than in
Sherburn should let the secretary know (either phone call or
email) at the latest by the Wednesday evening before the Sunday
walk. The uncertainty as to just how many people intend to
travel on the coach would then be reduced and an appropriately
sized coach ordered.
